Vijay Joseph is better known mononymously as Vijay, is an Indian film actor and playback singer who work in Tamil cinema. Vijay is refrerred to by the media as Thalapathy.
Vijay initially appeared is an uncredited child artist in film under his father S.A Chandrasekhar's direction, starting with Vetri to Ithu Engal Neethi.

He also made his debut under his fathers's direction as a ten age lead actor in Naalaya Theerpu, but his first successful film as lead actor was Poove Unakkaga, which was directed by Vikraman. To date, he has acted in 61 movies as a lead actor and has won 40 awards including notable three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, one Cosmopolitan Award, one Indiatoday Award, eight Vijay Awards, Three Edison Awards, two Viktan Awards, and was nominated for one National Award UK. Vijay as a playback has sung 32 songs to date, Starting with Bombay City to Papa Papa.

The youngest of thirteen surviving children, Tagore was born in 7 May 1861 in the Jorsankan mansion in Calcutta in Debendranath Tagore and Sarada Devi.
